What is it about those spidery lashes, bottom-skimming hemlines, pinafores, collars, capes, smocks and socks that pushes designers and compels us to repeat the decade over and over? Is it the secret longing to emulate our wide-eyed, luscious-locked heroines of yesteryear? Perhaps not, mod fashion takes us to a simpler time when it was ok to dress like a little girl. If I had it my way, I‘d dress as though I was 7 for the rest of my life, caring not for the fact my future varicose-veined gams should be put away, but longing for a time of big hair and pretty frocks. Ah, Frocks. Take me back, please?
