Falling are the sands of time

Double headgear to keep out the rain, as seen at LFW. I should probably try to retain any potential figment of cool and not tell you that this scarf is actually a dress draped cunningly over my head. Woops.

Do you lovely souls happen to know of any visit worthy flea markets in Malta?

Can you blame me for being wooed by winter and stumped by summer?

Closing doors

I can't tell you how excited I was to come across these DMalikes, they were everything I wanted in a boot - the perfect balance between rugged and pretty, and oh how comfortable they looked. Having conjured up a hundred outfit possibilities in which they would star, the day they arrived was a sad one. Crestfallen doesn't begin to describe what I and the balls of my feet felt when my foot entered and experienced the searing burn of a BAD last. Only being able to tolerate them for a maximum of half an hour at a time, the one thing I can be thankful for is their sale price. The vampiric stare/ editing seemed apt.

What will be seen

Talented artist Miquel Boyo's interpretation of a past post, so honoured to be a subject. Do visit Miquel's blog, The Sartopaintlist, to see takes on shots from Facehunter and The Sart, beautiful stuff.

Listening to your muse

My new lens is heree! I tend to name great things Bartholomew, I am happy to tell you that the lens is one of them. Although I'm horribly disappointed at how giddy and excited I am (I really thought I was more collected than this), I am celebrating it and my semi-recent purchase of the clodhopper variety, with a post.

I also managed to get my hands on a piece of tapestry which, once played around with, will hopefully also culminate in something so great that it shall warrant the name Bart.

LFW: The Dressing Gown Days

Lately I've been throwing vintage smoking jackets and dressing gowns over everything or alternatively, wearing them as dresses. I fear it has become quite the ailment. Sorry, dear Reader, it looks as though you will have to endure this phase through Spring.

I changed up the look a little for the Mulberry party, you can see me in all my grey hued glory over at Yvan Rodic's blog.

Apologies to Shini for including this awkward photo, it's surprising how few outfit shots I could find and the others I had taken with her are probably too embarassing colourful to display.

LFW: Day 2

The luxury of fabrics, arrangement of colour and sophisticated, architectural qualities that drew me to Bryce Aime's last collection, suggested good things for this season. Although the show was fun, the first part lacked magic as potentially interesting forms and shapes were stultified by the dull pallette and that godawful graphic print. Whether it was the combination of maroon and purple with black or the digital plague, the result was somewhat tawdry. For me (and perhaps others, assuming by the audible intake of breath and sudden hum of shutters), the show only really began at the appearance of a sculptural bodysuit, reminiscent of his previous works and no doubt designed for the likes of the Gaga/ Gargle. From here onward, the muted palette thrived amongst adventurous layering and forms, assorted surface textures and beautiful shapes. Although I longed for the elegance of last season, the use of prints was promptly forgiven and I succumbed to the spectacle before me.
